Annabelle Zerby
Annabelle joined the Mastcam-Z team as a Science Payload Downlink Lead in January 2026. She received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Astronomy & Astrophysics from The Ohio State University in 2025. Annabelle spent several years working for Starlab Space and is passionate about microgravity research and space policy. She is currently an Exploration Systems Design PhD student within the Bell Research Group at Arizona State University’s School of Earth and Space Exploration. Her research involves the design and calibration of spectral imaging instruments in the visible and near-infrared and she works with instruments across a variety of planetary bodies! In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, climbing, figure skating, and hanging out with her cat Hopscotch.
