Tina Seeger is a graduate student at Caltech with an interest in surface processes on Earth and Mars. She joined the Curiosity rover team in 2016, and quickly fell in love with rover science as a way to explore the geology of Mars and relate it back to Earth.  She completed her M.S. at Western Washington University, where she used Curiosity’s Mastcam instrument to investigate spectral trends across the rover’s entire traverse. While at WWU, she also joined the Mastcam-Z team as a student collaborator, helping with instrument calibration and preparing the Mars 2020 rover team for landing.  Now at Caltech, she is excited to use her background in sedimentology and spectroscopy to explore the rich geology of Jezero crater with Mastcam-Z.
